Ygyrl Leaders strives to help young women recognize that they have a voice, a place, and a part in the world in which they live, and encourages them to explore and develop ways in which they may participate and contribute wherever they are. *Ygyrl Leaders believes in hopes and dreams, and encourages young people everywhere to pursue those dreams as they grow and develop into the unique individuals they are. This is what spurs our Vision: Through the Ygyrl Leaders Program the YWCA of Central Virginia seeks to increase participation of young women from all backgrounds in community leadership and decision making roles and to increase their future academic and economic empowerment.
